A Kingsville resident suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Jackson County on Thursday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 80-year-old Ruth Adkins failed to yield in a southbound vehicle and it was struck in the driver’s side by a westbound vehicle, driven by 31-year-old Jared Lainhart, of Kansas City.
Adkins was pronounced deceased at the scene at 4:30 p.m. Lainhart reportedly was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The crash happened at about 4:10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50 at Buckner Tarsney Road.
