A Sedalia man has been charged with a sex-related felony for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female earlier this year.
According to a probable-cause statement, the female’s mother told authorities that Shadrach Brown had touched the girl’s breasts on January 15 while she was at his residence. On January 19, the girl reportedly told a child-safe investigator that Brown– while they were “cuddling”– had asked her if he could touch her breasts. The 16-year-old said she asked Brown “What is that supposed to mean?” And he replied by saying nothing and asked her not to tell her mother.
As of May 21, authorities had made several attempts to locate Brown, whom they believe has left the area and is no longer in Pettis County.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Brown- who was born in 1981- has been charged with a Class B Felony for Child Molestation in the Second Degree- Aggravated Sexual Offense- With a Child Less Than 17 Years Old and Offender Greater Than Four Years Older. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for Brown at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
