An ongoing roadwork project during overnight hours is scheduled to resume in Howard County this week.
According to MoDOT, resurfacing and shoulder improvements are scheduled to continue on Highway 40, between Highway 5 and Route UU in Boone County.
Beginning on Monday, September 10, side-road entrance paving, rumble strip installation and shoulder grading is scheduled to take place throughout the week, and the overall project is scheduled to run through sometime in October.
During the project, one lane will be open, and crews will guide traffic through the work area.
Two roadwork projects are scheduled to close couple of roadways beginning on Monday, September 10, in Howard County.
According to MoDOT, bridge replacement is scheduled to close the Doxies Creek Bridge on Route V, west of County Road 265.
Also, cluvert-pipe replacement is scheduled to close Highway 87, between Highways 5 and 187. From 7 a.m until 4 p.m. each day, the roadway will be close with work scheduled to last through Thursday, September 20.
During each project, motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work areas this week
