An ongoing roadwork project is scheduled to continue this week in Cooper County.
According to MoDOT, bridge replacement is underway on Highway 87 over I-70. The bridge is closed, but all exit and entrance ramps connecting to I-70 remain open. Grading operations, base-rock installation, the resurfacing of Highway 87 and the westbound entrance and exit ramps, as well as culvert extension work will continue this week.
Also continuing this week, Steven Kole Court will be closed to traffic due to work south of I-70, where motorists will be detoured over a temporary bypass to Klinton Drive.
Occasional overnight lane closures are possible on I-70 for construction of the new bridge, and the project scheduled for completion by sometime in November.
Also beginning on September 10, culvert-pipe replacement will take place throughout the day on Highway 87, between Route D and Spice Creek Drive in Moniteau County.
Also, partial pavement overlay is scheduled on Highway 135, from Route A to the Pettis County line, with work scheduled to last through Thursday, September 13.
Each project will have one lane open, and a crew will flag traffic through the work area.
