A Richmond woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Ray County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver, 58-year-old Pamela Stewart, reportedly lost control of her westbound vehicle in a curve. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, slid down an embankment, struck a tree and came to rest in a ditch.
Stewart reportedly was transported by Ray County Fire to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital in Lexington for treatment.
The accident happened at 9:15 a.m. on Missouri Business Highway 10, two-tenths of a mile east of West 104th Street.
