A 65-year-old Carrollton man who has been charged with two felonies relating to a shooting incident earlier this year, is due in court on Wednesday, September 12.
According to a probable-cause statement, on February 16, a person sustained two gunshot wounds, which required him to undergo multiple surgeries. Rex Stacy allegedly shot the person during an altercation at his residence.
Online court documents say Stacy has been charged with a Class A Felony for First-Degree Assault-Causing Serious Physical Injury and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
Stacy was released on an own-recognizance bond on April 2 and appeared for hearings on April 25, May 23 and June 27. However, he did not appear for a hearing on August 22, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on August 27, with bond set at $10,000 cash only.
Stacy is scheduled to appear for a hearing at 9 a.m. at Carroll County Circuit Court.
