Five Sedalia residents each were charged with felonies after the execution of a drug-related search warrant at a residence on Wednesday, September 12, in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says multiple law-enforcement agencies served a search warrant at a residence in the 29000 block of McCormick Road, south of Sedalia. Law enforcement reportedly found multiple drug-paraphernalia items which tested positive for methamphetamine, a .22 rifle with ammunition, and two tool boxes and a Yamaha motor cycle which were reported as stolen.
Online court documents say the following have been charged with Class D Felonies: 41-year-old Joseph Luera and 45-year-old Todd Streb each have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; 44-year-old Jeffrey Twenter has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Stealing of $750 or More; 39-year-old Travis Farr has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Receiving Stolen Property; and 46-year-old Douglas L. Johnson has been charged with Stealing of $750 or More. Cash or surety bonds for each of the accused has been set between $10,000 and $15,000.
An initial hearing for each of the accused at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
