A Clifton Hill resident was injured in a traffic accident in Carroll County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as 55-year-old Richard Best reportedly overcorrected his eastbound vehicle, which had traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle continued off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Best reportedly was transported by ambulance to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The accident happened at 5:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 24, one-half mile east of Route V.
