Two roadwork projects are scheduled to take place this week in Howard County.
According to MoDOT, bridge-replacement work is continuing this week which has close the Doxies Creek Bridge on Route V, west of County Road 265. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work areas this week
Beginning on Monday, September 17, pavement patching is scheduled on Route U, between Highway 3 and County Road 247, with work scheduled to last through Thursday, September 27. This project will have one lane open, and a crew will flag traffic through the work area.
An ongoing roadwork project during overnight hours is scheduled to resume in Howard County this week.
According to MoDOT, resurfacing and shoulder improvements are scheduled to continue on Highway 40, between Highway 5 and Route UU in Boone County. Also, side-road entrance paving, rumble strip installation and shoulder grading is scheduled to continue this week, and the overall project is scheduled to run through sometime in October.
During the project, one lane will be open, and crews will guide traffic through the work area.
