Two area residents face felony charges after the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Georgetown allegedly revealed them to be in possession of several items that had been reported stolen.
According to a probable-cause statement, on September 7, authorities located several items, including a washing machine, several pieces of jewelry, a vacuum cleaner, a coffee machine, a ShopVac and a flat-screen television which reportedly had been taken from a residence on West U.S. Highway 50 in Sedalia on May 7. One of the residents where the items were located also allegedly was found to be in possession of methamphetamine after she was taken into custody.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued and Robert Hall, of Sedalia, has been charged with a Class D Felony for Burglary in the Second Degree and two counts of a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. His bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Amanda Martz, of Georgetown, also has been charged with Class D Felonies for Stealing of $750 or More and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid. Her bond has been fixed at $15,000 cash or surety.
Martz was arraigned while in custody on September 14, and her cause has been continued for a counsel-status hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23; while Hall’s initial appearance is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
