The Salisbury School Board reviewed a report regarding future facility improvement needs during its meeting on Tuesday, September 18.
According to the minutes from the meeting, the board looked at the 2018 Energy Measurements and Verification report from McKinstry to discuss potential projects to be conducted during the Summer of 2019. The focus of the upcoming phase of improvements to the district’s facilities will be the replacement of the heating and cooling systems. This phase of improvements would include the removal of two boilers to be replaced by a new HVAC system to help provide fresh air to the facilities, as well as the replacement of older windows with more efficient windows. Also, improvements to the Ag facilities were detailed.
After reviewing the report and discussing financing options, the board agreed to have Superintendent Troy Clawson gather all cost estimates for improvements needed and present them during a future meeting for further discussion.
