Dr. John Paul Thomas, age 86, of Marshall, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association or Southside Assembly of God.

He leaves behind his wife, Pauline Billingsley Thomas, 83, and two children-Michael Ray Thomas of Marshall, Mo. And Alesia Thomas Thayer of Shelbyville, Ky. He also leaves an eternal legacy of eight grandchildren: Jennifer Thomas Doss of Glasgow, Mo., Devin Brooks Thayer of Louisville, Ky., John Michael Thomas, of Columbia, Mo., Dustin James Thayer, of LaGrange, Ky., Connor Seth Thomas, of Marshall, Ryan Denton Thayer, of Shelbyville, Ky., Pvt. Jared Alexander Thayer of Louisville, Ky., and Cody Lee Thayer, of Amarillo, Tx. Dr. Thomas also has nine great-grandchildren: Alexis, Luke, and Tenley Thayer, Skylar, Chloe, Carissa, Chase and Jayce Doss, and one great-great-grandchild.
