Two area residents were seriously injured in a rollover traffic crash in Johnson County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as the driver of a westbound vehicle, 26-year-old Dillon Smith, of Richmond, reportedly had a seizure and his vehicle struck the rear of another westbound vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Kevin Pinkston, of Warrensburg. Smith’s vehicle traveled into the median, struck a ditch and overturned.
Smith and occupant, 38-year-old Carl Downing, of Warrensburg, were transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of serious injures. Pinkston reportedly refused treatment at the scene.
The crash happened at about 11:15 a.m. on U.S. Highway 50 near Route AA.
