A Boonville teen who has been charged with two felonies appeared in custody and was arraigned on Thursday, September 27.
According to a probable-cause statement, 18-year-old Cameron Isaiah Comstock allegedly chased another person in a vehicle and threatened to kill them recently. Comstock told authorities he was chasing the person because he thought they stole his money when he lost his wallet. The victim reportedly showed officers a text message from Comstock says he was going to shoot the victim on site.
Comstock reportedly told officers he didn’t have a gun. But he allowed officers to search his vehicle, and they say they found scales with marijuana residue on them; and baggies with small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine in them. Comstock reportedly admitted to knowing all of the items were in the vehicle.
Online court documents say Comstock has been charged with two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana; a Class E Felony for Harassment in the First Degree; and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $75,000 cash or surety.
Comstock pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing. He’s next scheduled to appear for a counsel-status hearing at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
