A Slater teen who is facing a sex-related felony charge for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female in July is due in court next week.
According to a probable-cause statement, 18-year-old Clint Shackles is alleged to have committed some inappropriate sex-related acts sometime between 10 p.m. on July 20 and 5 a.m. on July 21 in the back yard of a residence in the 200 block of West Parker Street in Slater.
Online court documents say Shackles has been charged with a Class C Felony for Child Molestation in the Third Degree- Child Less Than 14 Years Old. Bond has been fixed at 10,000 cash only with several conditions.
Shackles was arraigned on September 13 and appeared while in custody for a counsel-status hearing on September 19. His next hearing is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, at Saline County Circuit Court.
