A Montgomery City teen was injured in a rollover traffic accident in Saline County on Saturday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a southbound vehicle, 18-year-old Hope Birkner, reportedly swerved to avoid impact with another vehicle and overcorrected. Birkner’s vehicle began to slide, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times.
Birkner was transported by Saline County ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The accident happened at 12:45 p.m. on Highway 41, just east of Springtown Road.
