Multiple law-enforcement agencies apprehended two alleged suspects of an armed robbery which occurred in Boonville on Friday, September 28.
According to a post on the Boonville Police Department’s Facebook page, at approximately 9:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery which occurred at the Dollar General Store located at 501 West Ashley Road. Victims stated a black male entered the store, brandished a handgun, demanded money and left the store on foot. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of money, and no one was injured.
During the investigation, a Cooper County Deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle traveling south on Ashely Road and was able to perform a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and Logan’s Lake Road.
Boonville Police Officers with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and more Cooper County deputies responded to the scene and arrested two male suspects. Law-enforcement personnel reportedly found evidence inside the vehicle connecting the suspects to the robbery.
Both suspects were transported to the Cooper County Detention Center where charges are currently pending.
