A Corder resident suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Sunday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 33-year-old Kurt Brandon, of Higginsville, reportedly failed to yield and pulled his northbound vehicle into the path of and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 60-year-old William Brooks, of Higginsville, in the passenger’s side, causing it to overturn.
While neither driver reportedly was injured, a passenger in Brooks’ vehicle, 81-year-old Doris Brooks- who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt- was transported by Higginsville E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at 11:50 a.m. on Route AA at Route V.
