As a reminder, the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be sending out an alert this week.
According to a post on the Missouri Department of Public Safety’s website, at 1:18 p.m. central time on Wednesday, October 3, FEMA will conduct a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert system in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission.
Most cell phones will get a message box with a tone and vibration.
Remember, it’s only a test. It’s not a text, and your phone number is not shared with anyone.
