A Sedalia resident sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 48-year-old Stacey Curtman, of Iberia, was slowing to change lanes in a construction zone and was struck in the rear by another northbound vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Sloane Arnold.
While Curtman reportedly was not injured, Arnold was flown by Staff For Life Air Evac helicopter to University Hospital for treatment.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. on U.S. Highway 65, one-tenth of a mile north of Missouri Highway 765.
