At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, October 2, Clerk Debbie Russell said the ballots are ready for absentee voting.

Absentee voting for the November election will be accepted during regular business hours at your county clerk’s office until 5 p.m. on Monday, November 5. Election Day is Tuesday, November 6. For more information, contact your county clerk’s office.
In other news from the meeting, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner gave an update on some roadwork.

Commissioners also approved the hiring of Caitlyn Clements, of Miami, to fill a full-time position in the communications division at the sheriff’s department. Clements’ first day of employment will be Monday, October 15.
