A Chicago man was seriously injured in a traffic crash involving a tractor trailer in Saline County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 42-year-old Almazbek Muminov, of Chicago, reportedly overtook and struck the rear of a westbound freightliner, driven by 51-year-old Julius Kamara, of Philadelphia.
Muminov reportedly was transported by Sweet Spring E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment of serious injures. Kamara reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. at the 63.4 mile marker of I-70.
