Three area residents were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Randolph county on Saturday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 73-year-old William Jacoby, of Clifton Hill, reportedly was stopped in traffic, waiting to make a turn, and it was struck in the rear by another eastbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Shelby Duey, of Mendon.
Jacoby, who sustained minor injuries, reportedly told first responders he would seek his own treatment. Duey suffered minor injuries, and a passenger in her vehicle-18-year-old Bonita Duey, of Mendon- sustained moderate injuries. They reportedly were transported by Randolph County ambulance to Moberly Regional Hospital for treatment.
The crash happened at about 11:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 24 at the west city limits of Huntsville.
