The Glasgow Board of Alderman held discussions with residents regarding the State Auditor’s report of the cities finances during its meeting on Monday, October 8.
According to the recent audit of Glasgow released by State Auditor Nicole Galloway, thousands of dollars were missing, city funds were used to pay a personal credit card and firearms purchased were unaccounted for. The suspicious activity took place under the supervision of a former city administrator, Kevin Atwood, who was responsible for many of the city’s accounting functions and has since resigned from his position.
City Attorney Randall Barron details what was discussed regarding the audit which received a rating of poor.

In other business, Barron said the board is looking into updating its ordinances regarding nuisance violations.

Barron added parking ordinances and penalties also are being looked at to be updated which will be revisited during a future meeting.
