C. Randal “Randy” Vessell, age 71, of Blackwater, died Friday, October 12, 2018.

A funeral mass will be held at at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 19, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Boonville. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Old Lamine Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall is in charge of arrangements.

Randy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Fay Smith Vessell; his mother Nesta Vessell; his seven younger siblings, Ron (Nancy) Vessell, JoAnn Vessell, Royce Vessell, Roger (Joan) Vessell, Katie (Mike) Bradley, Patty Gibbons, and Rodney Vessell; three children, Courtney (KuoJen) Tsao, Aaron (Rachel) Smith, and Allison Smith; three grandchildren, Oliver Tsao, Penelope Tsao, and Ella Smith; 13 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and great nephews.
