A Sedalia man has been charged with two felonies for allegedly robbing a woman at gunpoint on October 10.
According to a probable-cause statement, the woman told authorities that 30-year-old Anthony Terrell Jones pointed a gun at her head and chest and demanded money. The woman said she told him she didn’t have any money, and he jerked her cell phone out of her hand and broke the case. The woman said Jones left the area in an unknown vehicle, and she was not injured. However, the officer noted the woman was visibly shaken, had been crying and was trembling uncontrollably.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been requested and Jones has been charged with a Class A Felony for Robbery in the First Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond has not been set yet.
Jones’ initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
