A Marshall man accused of murdering a Slater resident earlier this year has a jury trail date scheduled for next year.
According to online court documents, 31-year-old Adam McAlister is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action for allegedly killing 31-year-old Lance Gibson on March 9, 2018.
Bond has been set at $500,000 cash only, with special conditions. Two motions made by McAlister’s attorney to have his bond reduced have been denied by the court.
McAlister entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment hearing on June 25, 2018.
After a case review on Monday, October 22, the court set a jury trial date for McAlister which is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Saline County Circuit Court. A pre-trial conference is scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019.
