A Lincoln man was seriously injured in a traffic crash in Benton County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle reportedly experienced a mechanical failure, and 71-year-old Jerald Brandt was unable to stop it at an intersection. The vehicle crossed over White Rock Avenue and struck two trees.
Brandt, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The crash happened at 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of White Rock Avenue and Harper Road.
