A Marshall man has reported to authorities that his electric wheelchair was stolen from his residence over this past weekend.
According to a report from the Marshall Police Department, the man said he parked the wheelchair in the carport on the north side of his residence in the 700 block of South Redman Avenue at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 27. He said he went to the store, and upon his return, his wheelchair was missing from where he had parked it.
The man described it as an Amy Power All-Track wheelchair- purple in color with a large black seat. It has large black tires with large tread. He says the wheelchair is built for outdoor use and values it at $9,000.
An officer talked to neighbors to see if they saw anything with negative results.
The man was unable to provide a serial number for the wheelchair. Once he provides that, authorities say it will be entered into the MULES/NCIC system as stolen.
The investigation continues.
