Two Georgia residents are facing drug-related felony charges after a search of their vehicle following a traffic stop on I-70 revealed them allegedly to be in possession of a controlled substance, controlled pills and a six-figure bankroll on Thursday, October 25, in Cooper County.
According to a probable-cause statement, due to a probable-cause search of the vehicle based on a canine alert, authorities found some ketamine; adderall and hydrocodone pills; electric cigarettes containing liquid THC; and more than $104,000 in cash inside three vacuum-sealed bags under the liner of one of 10 suitcases in the van.
After they were advised of their rights, the two subjects in the van reportedly admitted to authorities that they had made multiple trips from Georgia to Oregon to exchange $100,000 for 90 to 100 pounds of marijuana and being paid $10,000 to return the marijuana to Georgia.
According to online court documents, Tyler Schreck and Tyler Brown each has been charged with three counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid; and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond for each has been set at $30,000 cash or surety.
Each subject is scheduled to be arraigned at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
