The MMU Board of Public Works heard progress reports on various projects during its meeting on Thursday, October 31.
Underground Facilities Director Grant Piper said the repainting of the water tower is going smoothly as the contractors have completed power washing and have begun to prime the tank.
Piper added the two logos will include one from Marshall High School and the other from Missouri Valley College. Piper said they are working with the contractors in completing a change order for the logo installation due to the size of both logos.
In other business, Electric Distribution Director Jeff Bergstrom said as of October 25, his crews have approximately 800 AMI electric meters left to install for all MMU customers. Bergstrom added the majority of the new meters left to be installed are for commercial and industrial customers.
