Is this a Presidential Election year? Nope. But by the number of ballots already cast by Saline County voters, one might tend to think so.
During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, October 30, Clerk Debbie Russell said interest in the election certainly reminds her a lot of 2016.
Russell says nearly 400 of the requested ballots have been turned in already.
Russell said her prediction for voter turnout is 42 percent in Saline County.
Russell also pointed out her office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 3, to accommodate any other absentee voters. If you need special accommodations- such as needing to be met outside to cast your ballot curbside, they can do that, as well.
Absentee voting also will be accepted during regular business hours in her office- or your county clerk’s office- through 5 p.m. on Monday, November 5. Registered voters go to the polls to cast their ballots on election day on Tuesday, November 6. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
