A Sedalia man has been charged with a felony for an alleged stalking incident where he brandished a firearm in traffic recently in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says a female victim told authorities about being threatened by 27-year-old Jordan Gilmore on November 4. The victim stated Gilmore called her cell phone after she just finished a face-to face conversation with a longtime family friend in a parking lot in Warrensburg. Gilmore allegedly said he knew where she was and things were going to get bad for her.
The victim then left the area to pick up a family member to travel to Sedalia to file a police report. While en route, Gilmore reportedly cut off the victim’s vehicle at the intersection of South Center and Broadway in Sedalia, where he exited his vehicle and pointed a firearm at the passenger side window. The victim then maneuvered her vehicle around Gilmore and his vehicle and proceeded to the police station without being injured. Authorities believed Gilmore tracked the victim through her cell phone.
Online court documents say Gilmore has been charged with a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Exhibiting. Bond has not yet been set.
Gilmore’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
