There were several tax-related ballot issues voted on in area cities on Tuesday, November 6.
According to the unofficial results, Carrollton voters narrowly approved a three-quarters-of-a-cent sales-tax measure for constructing, equipping and maintaining a new aquatic center 677 to 671.
The use-tax question for the city of Emma was passed by voters 67 to 28. That broke down to 43 yes to 17 no votes in Saline County; and 24 yes to 11 no votes in Lafayette County.
Also in Saline County, voters in the Slater Ambulance District approved a tax-related measure 658 yes votes to 457 no votes.
And in Pettis County, La Monte voters turned down a use-tax measure 157 no votes to 75 yes votes.
The certification of the election numbers is scheduled to be held in county clerk’s offices later this week.
