In the race for U.S. Senator that drew the interest of the nation, challenger Republican Josh Hawley unseated two-term incumbent, Democrat Claire McCaskill, during voting on Tuesday, November 6.
According to the unofficial numbers on the Secretary of State’s website, Hawley earned 1,245,732 votes to 1,101,377 for McCaskill or 51.4 to 45.5 percent.
In another closely-watched statewide race, incumbent Democrat Nicole Galloway defeated Republican challenger Saundra McDowell 1,197,020 to 1,060,066 or 50.4 to 44.6 percent.
In this area among the races for U.S. Representative in District 4, Republican incumbent Vicky Hartzler retained her seat by beating Democrat challenger Renee Hoagensen 185,245 to 93,861 (64.7 to 32.8 percent).
For U.S. Representative in District 5, incumbent Democrat Emanuel Cleaver II defeated Republican challenger Jacob Turk 173,592 to 100,695 (61.5 to 35.7 percent).
In the race for U.S. Representative in District 6, incumbent Republican Sam Graves easily won, beating Democrat challenger Henry Robert Martin 199,580 to 97,515 (65.4 to 31.9 percent).
