SLATER CITY COUNCIL INFORMED ON RECEIVING SIX-FIGURE GRANT FOR WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT DURING MEETING ON NOVEMBER 6

The Slater City Council was informed about receiving grant money for the replacement of a water main during its meeting on Tuesday, November 6.

City Administrator Gene Griffith said the city was awarded a six-figure grant to be used to fix a water main which had a recent problem.

In other business, Griffith said the council approved to apply for a different grant for some maintenance needed on a building.

Also, Griffith said city tree-trimming efforts have begun and advises residents to call City Hall during regular business hours if they have a tree which needs to be trimmed.
