The Sweet Springs School Board approved the filing dates for board seats up for election in April during its meeting on Wednesday, November 7.
According to the minutes, Superintendent Lori Price said there are two, three-year term positions up for election on April 2, 2019. The seats are currently held by Eric Giffen and Paula Staples.
The board approved candidate filing to begin at 8 a.m. on December 11, 2018, and will end by 5 p.m. on January 15, 2019.
Also, filings will not occur on days the district is closed due to inclement weather and during Christmas Break (December 24-January 4).
Any resident who qualifies can file during normal working days at the Superintendent’s Office.
