A Jamestown resident has been charged with a couple of felonies for allegedly unlawfully entering a residence and assaulting a person on November 2 in Cooper County.
According to a probable-cause statement, 22-year-old Jonathan Dayton Wayne Lucas entered without permission through an unlocked front door of a residence on Highway 87 and struck a person several times in the face and head with closed fists, which caused swelling to the victim’s right eye. Lucas then reportedly fled the scene.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued, and Lucas has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; and a Class E Felony for Assault in the Third Degree. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Lucas’ initial hearing at Cooper County Circuit Court is pending.
