During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, November 6, commissioners took a bid for state legislative lobbying services under advisement.
According to a release from the commission, the contract subsequently was reviewed by the county’s attorney Josh Taylor, who gave the commission the OK to go ahead and approve the contract with Flotron & McIntosh LLC.
During the meeting, Northern District Commissioner Richard Clemens explained the contract is for services to help with everything that will have to be done regarding the water project at the Marshall Junction. He says the commission had looked at this type of service for several months.

The contract is for the county to pay $5,000 as a monthly retainer for the period from December 1, 2018, through November 30, 2020.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. said Flotron & McIntosh asks for consideration beyond the 24-month contract. He also said if the county isn’t happy with the service, it can end the contract with some notice.

So, after receiving the OK to go ahead from Taylor, the commission approved the contract for the services.
