With the firearms portion of deer season set to open at sunrise on Saturday, November 10, Saline County Conservation Agent Chase Wright offered hunters some helpful information during an interview on KMMO earlier this week.
Wright said Saline County has a 4-point restriction for bucks. He also explained regulations about how many deer hunters can possibly harvest.
Wright says if you kill a deer in certain counties, you have to take it to be tested for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) during opening weekend.
You can see a complete list of CWD counties by visiting MDC’s website at mdc.mo.gov.
Wright said if you have any questions or see any suspicious activity, call him on his cell phone at (660) 641-3345.
The firearms portion of deer season will continue through sunset on Tuesday, November 20.
