Two area residents sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Andrew Carr, of Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, reportedly rotated sideways in the roadway and was struck in the right side by another eastbound vehicle, driven by 32-year-old Eric Black, of Knob Noster. Black’s vehicle then traveled off the roadway and down an embankment; and Carr’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway.
While neither driver reportedly was injured, a 10-year-old boy, of Knob Noster- a passenger in Black’s vehicle; and 32-year-old Chalise Denison- a passenger in Carr’s vehicle- were transported by Pettis County ambulances to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia and Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, respectively, for treatment.
The crash happened just after 11:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 50, one-half mile east of Route MM.
