Two area residents who were charged with drug-related felonies after a traffic stop on November 6 are due in an area courtroom for a hearing on Wednesday, November 14.
According to a post on the Carrollton Police Department’s Facebook page, the traffic stop took place in the 100 block of North Main Street, and arrested were 26-year-old Desmond Huff, of Chillicothe, and 34-year-old Brandon Adkins, of Carrollton, who reportedly was driving the vehicle.
Online court documents say each has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid. Adkins also has been charged with two driving-related misdemeanors and Huff a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond for each has been set at $35,000 cash or licensed surety- no 10-percent allowed.
Each defendant pleaded not guilty while in custody on November 7. Each is due for another hearing at 9 a.m. at Carroll County Circuit Court.
