A Windsor man who is facing multiple sex-related felony charges after three youths accused him of inappropriate contact with them during two separate incidents earlier this year is due in court this week.
A probable-cause statement says on July 18, the juveniles told authorities about being inappropriately touched by 43-year-old Christopher Hidy during a sleep-over and pool party held at a residence in Windsor on July 2 and 7.
Online court documents say Hidy has been charged with three counts of an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy-Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less than 14 Years Old; two counts of a Class C Felony for Third-Degree Child Molestation; and a Class D Felony for Tampering or Attempt to Tamper with a Victim in a Felony Prosecution.
Bond originally was set at $100,000 cash or surety. The court authorized 10-percent- or $10,000- cash bond on October 5, which was posted by Hidy on October 10.
On October 25, the state’s request for change of the judge was approved, and a new judge was appointed to oversee the case on October 26.
Hidy’s criminal-setting hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, at Henry County Circuit Court.
