The Marshall Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of a new executive director who will take over the position next month.
According to a news release, Mary Ann Piper has been hired to become the next Executive Director of the Marshall Chamber of Commerce. Piper previously was the Manager of Missouri Care Center/Program Supervisor for 19 years. Piper currently is an office assistant for the Chamber and is scheduled to take over the new position on Saturday, December 1.
Piper reportedly has worked to develop relationships with community employers in a six-county area which has created jobs and resources for dislocated workers, and ensured those workers provided quality service to their employers.
Also, Piper has certifications in several programs such as Missouri Workforce Development; the Employer as Customer; Communication Strategies and Planning Your Career in Workforce Development.
The Marshall Chamber of Commerce looks forward to Piper’s future contributions to local businesses and the community.
