The City of Concordia Water Department has issued a boil advisory for some residents until Monday.
According to a news release, residents between West Street and Sunset Hills Drive, from SW 3rd St. to Old 40 Highway are being advised, not required, to boil all consumable water until Monday, December 10th. Residents are being advised to boil water used for drinking, cooking and teeth brushing. They also recommend disposing any ice cubes made today and prior.
MoDNR website suggests boiling water vigorously for three minutes prior to use, dispose of ice cubes and not use ice from automatic ice makers. They suggest remaking ice cubes with water that has been boiled for the recommended three minutes.
The advisory is in effect until lab results confirm that a problem with the drinking water does not or no longer exists. The city will notify the public when the boil advisory has been lifted.
