Two Galt residents were injured in a traffic accident in Pettis County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a southbound vehicle, 44-year-old Mary Sawyer, reportedly lost control on wet and partially ice covered roadway, and the vehicle traveled off the right side of roadway, struck a culvert, impacted a ditch and came to a rest in the ditch.
Sawyer and passenger, 20-year-old Breanna Sawyer, were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The accident happened at about 10 a.m. on U.S. Highway 65, near Route CC.
