Two Warrensburg residents were injured in a traffic crash as their vehicle struck the towed unit of a truck in Lafayette County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as the driver of an eastbound truck, 25-year-old Anthony Schyultenhenrich, of Dardenne Prairie, reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and a trailer he was pulling was struck by a southbound vehicle, driven by 38-year-old Jason Schwartz, of Bolivar.
Schwartz and Schyultenhenich reportedly were not injured, but Schwartz’s passengers, 40-year-old Theresa Jackson sustained minor injures and a 4-year-old boy suffered moderate injuries. Each were transported by E.M.S to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for treatment.
The crash happened around 12:15 p.m. on Missouri Highway 13 at I-70.
