A Slater teen who is facing a sex-related felony charge for allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile female earlier this year is due in court on Monday, December 10.
According to a probable-cause statement, 18-year-old Clint Shackles is alleged to have committed the inappropriate sex-related act sometime between 10 p.m. on July 20 and 5 a.m. on July 21 in the back yard of a residence in Slater.
Online court documents say Shackles has been charged with a Class C Felony for Child Molestation in the Third Degree- Child Less Than 14 Years Old.
Shackles appeared in person while in custody and entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment hearing on October 9. He is due for a plea/trial-setting hearing at 11 a.m. at Saline County Circuit Court. The hearing was postponed from November 26 due to the courthouse being closed because of inclement weather conditions.
