Four area residents each have been formally charged with a felony after the execution of a search warrant at a residence in rural Saline County on Friday, December 7.
According to a release from the Saline County Sheriff’s Department, deputies with assistance from the Lafayette County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 10000 block of 280th Road near Waverly, and four suspects were arrested for alleged illegal drug possession.
Online court documents say 43-year-old Terry Berwaldt and 37-year-old Ellen Raney, both of Waverly; 39-year-old Corey Gilpin, of Hodge; and 41-year-old Jennifer Callen, of Chillicothe, each have been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a misdemeanor drug charge. Cash or surety bond has been set at $15,000 for each subject, except Raney’s was set at $7,500.
Gilpin and Callen each have an arraignment hearing scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, at Saline County Circuit Court. Berwaldt and Raney’s initial hearings are still pending.
