Several State Fair Community College students from area communities placed at the Missouri Professional Agriculture Students (PAS) conference November 15-17 at Crowder College in Neosho.
A news release says 24 SFCC agriculture students competed in contests designed to develop skills required by employers in the agriculture industry, attended workshops, listened to speakers and participated in mock interviews.
Ashlynn Liebl, of Houstonia, was elected to serve as the 2018-19 secretary for Missouri PAS. Delegates voted to change the name of the organization from Missouri Postsecondary Agriculture Students to Missouri Professional Agriculture Students.

The National Professional Agricultural Student Organization is a student-led group that allows students to build and sharpen their skills so they are prepared to work in all areas of the agriculture industry.
